Hellooooooo. This is a semi-ooc, but partially ic character rant.
^____^;;
I see that the chat box is sometimes not the place to discuss these things, because no one listens to me, there. And why should they, right? I am Go Dougan, and have always had some ...problems, being acknowledged. >___<
At any rate. I would like to air my grievances here, because it is the only place I could think to do it. I want to explain why I decided not to play in the regular rp anymore, and try to remedy the whole situation. Because, it would be rude of me to keep a hold of this character, if someone else wanted to play him, while I sit around and starkly refuse to take part in the game.
I was not so much angry because of the meanness that was exhibited to my character, because... Let's face it. Go Dougan is a hard pill to take. He is usually up to something, and it makes sense that people would not trust him, or like him very much. He is a villain. That is not my concern, that he is hated. It makes sense.
What didn't make sense was, people were acting as though they knew exactly what he was planning, and didn't even give me (as a player) the opportunity to build a proper evil plan. Instead of being treated as an equal player, I was treated like one of those one-shot demon characters in any given episode, that gets blown to particles the second he makes his move.
My question is: Can you all possibly allow me the artistic license to formulate a fun and exciting storyline, wherein I am the villain, and you are all trapped for a small period of time, before you pull out the big guns and try to foil my plans? A good story allows a little bit off wiggle room, where things actually go wrong for the protagonists, for a few. Otherwise, the Sanzo ikkou would have made it to India in the second week or so, and would have already vanquished their enemy, completely. I just don't get why everything I try to do gets smacked down, the second I implement my plan.
Yes, I realize that I could be beating a dead and decomposed horse, here. But I just felt that my voice wasn't being heard, because of who I play. And because the perfect world might be upturned for a minute, and that must be devastating to all of you. <____<;
Thoughts? Comments? Crucifixions?
